Jonathan (Jon) F. Plimpton - Managing Director

Mr. Plimpton is a Principal and founder of IBMI. He is responsible for the strategic direction of our clients' business. He participates actively in international operations, coordinating services and overseeing implementation.

Before he founded IBMI in 1991, Mr Plimpton served as Vice President of International at Prince Manufacturing, Inc., the tennis and leisure products company. He was also responsible for the company's sport marketing operations.

In l 987, Mr. Plimpton was one of six participants in a management-led buyout of Prince from Unilever. He continued to oversee international operations until the company's successful sale to Edizione of Italy (Benetton) in December of 1990. During that Time the international business grew 2.5 times to represent over 65/o of the company's operating profit and 50% of its sales.

Prior to his arrival at Prince, Mr. Plimpton spent two years as Director of Export Marketing for Penn Athletic, a division of GenCorp (General Tire) in Pittsburgh. During that period, he established a strong base for the company's products in Asia, South America, Africa and the Middle East.

Mr. Plimpton also spent 15 years in the travel industry, working with Pan American, Trans World Airlines, Braniff International and Mexicana Airlines, where he ultimately served as Senior Manager for the United States, Canada and the Pacific.This experience involved him in every facet of airline operations, with special emphasis on sales, marketing and general management.

Raised in Lebanon, Argentina and Colombia, Mr. Plimpton was educated at Case Western Reserve University (undergraduate) and at the University of Chicago (MBA program). He is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of both French and German. He is a member of the .SGMA, WFSGI, TTF, NJDEC and has held key positions in travel industry associations.

Thomas Schnöll -Managing Director

Mr. Schnöll is responsible for the coordination of IBMI's European activities. He is actively involved in identifying, qualifying and developing customers for client companies throughout Europe.

Before joining IBMI, Mr. Schnöll was a Technical Consultant in the sporting goods industry, specifically for the plastics and composites secror. His major consulting projects included sourcing and planning a new racquet manufacturing facility in India; reducing racquet production costs by 20% for Fischer, and developing new racquets and other sports products for Lisonda do Brasil.

Prior to that Mr. Schnöll held the position of Production Director for tennis racquets at Snauwaert in Portugal. Through his efforts quality was improved by instituting new production technology whereby daily output was increased from 450 to 1100 racquets per day and manpower was decreased. He also spent two years in Brazil where he set up and ran a tennis racquet production facility for Kneissl and Prince Manufacturing.

Before his transfer to Brazil he headed the Tennis and Industrial Products Development Division at Kneissl in Austria.

Mr. Schn öll has a technical education with specialization in the processing of synthetic materials. His mechanical Engineering degree was earned from WIfi Innsbruck and his REFA Diploma from WIfi Salzburg. He makes his home in hisnative Austria.

Mr. Suzuki received his degree in economics at Musashi University in Tokyo. He is completely fluent in English.

Mr. Suzuki was the business manager at Daiwa Seiko, Inc., a leading sports and recreation products manufacturer and importer in Japan, based out of their headquarters in Tokyo. Since 1985, he was responsible for the development of the Prince brand of tennis products in the Japanese market. During his tenure, Prince achieved a #1 position in Japan (for rackets...24.2% market share, US$28.7 mil.) from No.5 (5.6%, US$14.4 mil.) in wholesale market value. His responsibilities included product development of licensed tennis goods, including apparel and footwear, in addition to imported products (tennis rackets, accessories, etc.). He also was responsible for the development and marketing of mountain bikes, outdoor products, ski, wind-surfing board, sport shoes under other brand names managed by Daiwa Seiko in Japan.

Between 1980 and 1985, he was responsible for development of the Daiwa Seiko export fishing tackle business as a product manager. His focus was on fishing rod development for European market.

From 1970 to 1980, he was responsible for order processing, sales and service to Sears Roebuck, European & Asian distributors. Mr. Suzuki is well versed in import & export operations in and out of Japan, has extensive contact throughout the retail trade of Japan and as extensive experience in working with the Japanese consumer market in consumer products, particularly those dependent on discretionary spending.

Ranjit Shastri - Partner PSI (New Delhi, India)

Ranjit Shastri has served a broad range of clients in developing corporate strategies, forging cross-border alliances, and enhancing performance through global sourcing and organizational effectiveness. He has helped major international corporations determine the most appropriate strategy to take advantage of opportunities in India in an era of reduced import duties, increased international competition, and domestic deregulation.

Mr. Shastri serves on the boards of several companies, including that of Vickers Systems India Ltd., a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation (NYSE: ETN). He is also a director of and investor in two fast growing IT-enabled service companies, SmartAnalyst Inc. and DesignPresentation Associates, Inc.

Prior to joining PSi, Mr. Shastri spent several years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York, and Bain & Co. in Boston. He holds an M.B.A. with honors from the Wharton School, and a B.Sc. with honors in applied mathematics from Yale University.

Mr. Shastri has an interest in game theory and competitive strategies. He also enjoys writing, and regularly reaches approximately 520,000 readers through two monthly columns: "GamePlan" in BusinessWorld (India's leading business magazine); and "Money & Business" in the in-flight magazine of Indian Airlines. He has also contributed to numerous other publications, including Business Today, The Economic Times, Business Standard, and the Economist.
